Q&A with Writer/ Director Andrew Heckler after the screening moderated by KU Professor of Film & Media Studies, Kevin Willmott.
Andrew Heckler is the writer and director of Burden, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival in dramatic competition and garnered its Audience Award. He is also a partner at Unburdened Entertainment, along with Academy Award-nominated and Burden producer Robbie Brenner. Prior to this, Heckler launched Catchwater Entertainment with actor Aaron Eckhart. Heckler has participated in all facets of the entertainment business, as an actor, writer, and producer. He had acting parts in the film Armageddon and the TV show “Ally McBeal.” He started his theatrical career as the founder of Workhouse Theater in Tribeca, New York City.
