The KU Bookstore presents a book talk and signing by Department of Theatre and Dance professor Laura Kirk. Laura contributed two chapters to this newly published book about female screenwriters in the silent era – a time when nearly half of all films were written by women. Kirk’s chapters focus on Kansan writer Eve Unsell and Bella Spewack, best known for the film Kiss Me Kate. Explore cinematic history, support local talent and enjoy tasty refreshments on campus.
