The Free State Festival, Watkins Museum of History, The Equal Justice Initiative and the Douglas County Community Remembrance Project invite you to a screening of the film Just Mercy, the compelling story of a civil rights attorney who worked to free a wrongly condemned death row prisoner. This special event is part of a series of programs acknowledging the histories of segregation and racial injustice, both locally and nationally. The film will be preceded by remarks from Ursula Minor, President of the Lawrence Chapter NAACP, and the Rev. Verdell Taylor.

Masks and proof of vaccination are required. Admission is FREE but online ticket registration is required to adhere to capacity limits.
