As cities across our region work to better understand and support our music communities, what collaborative efforts can cross state lines to strengthen our regional ecosystem? How can we elevate efforts that support artists in their home communities and across our region? What role can cities and individual community members play in this work?

A panel of experts will discuss the needs and challenges facing the music industry across our region, share successful efforts that cities have implemented to support music, and begin a conversation about how to build a vibrant music ecosystem across the region.

Panelists: Elizabeth Cawein (Music Export Memphis), Natalie Bowling (Tulsa FMAC), Nick Carswell (Kansas Arts Commission/Lawrence Music Alliance), Porter Arneill, moderator (City of Lawrence, Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation, Arts & Culture).
