The City of Lawrence’s Cultural Arts Commission unveils several temporary public art pieces around the city for Final Friday, a community-wide art celebration.  The Free State Festival is proud to host Alicia Kelly’s Stellar Dodecahedron outside the Lawrence Arts Center (940 New Hampshire St.) as part of this program.

A walking tour by the City of Lawrence meets at the Explore Lawrence Visitor’s Center (812 Massachusetts St) at 5:30pm.

A complete list of the sculpture locations is available here for self guided tours.

ABOUT THE ART:
A Stellar Dodecahedron is a playful exploration of a twelve sided star, hand constructed into an oversized inflatable sculpture. Composed of stacked abstract shapes and patterns alongside a limited color palette of black and white, this sculpture creates a type of abstract wonderland of play and investigation for all ages.”  – Alicia Kelly, Artist
